Player/Parent Information

Code of Conduct

            As a member of the Valley City Hi-Liner Golf team, you are making a commitment to the coaching staff and more importantly your teammates.  Along with that is a responsibility to conduct yourself properly because your behavior reflects on the team as well as the community.  Here is a guideline of what is expected of you:

1)      Physicals and Fees
You will not be allowed to practice/compete until these are taken care of!
All golfers must have a current physical on file .
All golfers must take care of their participation fee.
*Check on the individual and family maximums, as in the spring some of these may have been meet for multi-sport athletes and big families.
All golfers must turn in a signed code of conduct.

2)  Practice

You will be expected to be at the course each day of practice on time.

You must attend practice if you want to compete in meets!  You get one unexcused absence before you are suspended for a meet/removed from the team. (Not talking to the coach directly will count as an unexcused absence.)

3)   Player position on Varsity/JV
Each player’s tournaments scores, practice habits, and attitude will be taken into account when selecting the 6 players for each varsity meet.  
Qualifying rounds will take place when necessary.
Only players competing in the EDC Regional meet will letter.
No seniors will play in JV meets as JV meets are for underclassmen.

Follow all rules described in the VCHS activity handbook and by NDHSAA.

Good sportsmanship on and off the course and follow the rules of golf.

Any player cheating on the course will be suspended for a minimum of

two weeks.

*Failure to follow these guidelines will lead to disciplinary actions, which may include suspension or removal from team.
